Psychology researchers seeking to apply the BPS Code of Human Research Ethics to their own specific research project can benefit from further explanation of the principles and illustrations of how they can be interpreted in specific contexts.
This webinar will provide an overview of the BPS Code of Human Research Ethics (CHRE) and its development over the years. The four key Principles will be examined and linked to philosophical perspectives. Each section of the CHRE will then be discussed, with the use of examples to show how the Principles can be applied in practice. Finally, some dilemmas faced by psychologists working in challenging contexts will be explored and solutions offered.This webinar is available in English only. You wil have access to the webinar for eight weeks from the date of purchase.

Professor John Oates has developed and delivered online education on research ethics at undergraduate, postgraduate and staff researcher levels, using multiple media, as part of my role at The Open University. I have delivered several webinars on attachment research for perinatal mental health practitioners, and one on media ethics as part of ITV/BBC training for psychologists working with broadcast productions. I presented a webinar on research ethics in the Massolit series.
