Exam Preparation: How to successfully prepare for your exams and keep yourself well (5 November 2024)
The exam season can be a very stressful time for psychology students, with students facing difficulties in time planning and looking after their own wellbeing. This webinar aims to support psychology students who are about to progress though the exam season by offering revision tips and guidance and ways in which wellbeing can be looked after.
After attending this webinar, attendees will have the tools and skills needed to plan their own revision schedule, ensuring that they can revise for all exams being taken.
As the webinar will look at the wellbeing of students during this time, attendees will be more aware of how to understand if their wellbeing is decreasing or if non-exam activities are needed.

This webinar will be recorded. The recording will be available for 12 weeks after the live session.
Learning outcomes
- Gain an understanding of the exam process and why taking exams is important
- Be able to define and explain the key skills developed during the exam season
- Understand how and be equipped to plan and mange revision time effectively
- Understand where to go to for extra support with regards to exam revision planning
- Understand how to look after yourself during the exam times as these times can be stressful (e.g. how to look for burnout signs)
- Reflect upon how you will manage your own time when your exam period is near

- This webinar is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate psychology students within any year at university
- Students can be on any psychology course or specialism as this webinar will not focus upon one area of psychology

Webinar presenters
Dr Laura Jenkins CPsychol, SFHEA
Laura is a University Teacher in Psychology at Loughborough University. She is a Chartered Psychologist Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Laura completed her undergraduate Psychology degree at Northumbria University in 2011 before the completion of her MRes Psychology degree in 2012. In 2016, Laura was awarded a PhD in Psychology which enabled her to develop the key research skills needed for study development. Laura has held academic positions at Northumbria University, Oxford Brookes University and the University of Strathclyde before moving to Loughborough University in 2018. Throughout her teaching career, Laura has taught on numerous Psychology modules including cognition, statistics, personality and individual differences, biological psychology, questionnaire design, qualitative methods, developmental and social psychology.
Laura currently module leads several modules within psychology including the final year dissertation module, first year modules and a second-year module, and is the psychology placement co-ordinator within the university.
