What will this episode cover?

This presentation will explore experiences and reflections of a forensic psychologist working within multidisciplinary teams in the custodial setting. Prison employed staff have different roles and responsibilities within an overall shared purpose. This purpose is not only to protect the public, but to manage and care for those in custody, in order to help them to consider change and access opportunities for rehabilitation to lead law abiding lives upon release. Multidisciplinary working often invites varying perspectives but can bring huge benefits to the working world of a psychologist and the work they are responsible for. This presentation will reflect on the approaches and benefits of integrating into multidisciplinary teams, difficulties that can be faced, and how to overcome them.
